To “sigilize an event” means; to create an event with the intention of causing a desired outcome in the foreseeable future, then “forget” the event to ensure the (un)consciousness makes the desired outcome a reality.

For instance, let’s say that you’re a fascist dictator and you need a way of controlling your people without resistance, or without them even realizing it.

The problem: The law you supposedly stand for won’t allow you to do the things you want to do to your people.

The only way you will be able to do these things, is if the people willingly dissolve the restrictions that they have placed upon you.

One way you can get them to do this is to sigilize an event so powerful, that their (un)consciousness will be bugged to the point that they will literally beg you to take their freedoms.

Construct an event that evokes a sensitizing emotion, such as FEAR. The best way to invoke FEAR is to give your people an enemy. A boogey man if you will. If no such enemy exists, create one. This may sound ridiculous, but if you construct an enemy well enough, no one will know the difference. This is especially easy if you control the media. It is suggested that your enemy could be hiding amongst your people. Make sure they think this to evoke the right amount of FEAR. Besides, if your enemy could be your best friends, who can you trust besides your FEARless leader?

So, now you have your enemy. The next thing you need to do is make your people realize that such enemy is an immediate threat to their safety. This is where your event comes in.

The suggested event involves an attack from your enemy -- don’t worry if your enemy doesn’t actually exist, people don’t need to see the enemy committing the attack to believe that they are responsible for it.

The event needs to seem to be a real event to your people; you can’t just have it down on paper... some people are smarter than that. Vivid moving color and audio is preferable. The human mind works primarily on sight and sound... so much so, that it can even override the simplest reasoning functions of the brain, given the event evokes the correct emotion. In this case, FEAR.

Human life must be lost in your event for it to work. You can’t just have big explosions and ruined property… death and injury is needed to scare the remaining population. And remember, the bigger the death toll, the better. And no survivors. Absolutely no survivors. You can’t leave anyone left alive to reveal who’s really behind the attack. Remember: Illusion is everything. That is the mark of a true magician.

Make sure to include all the right elements in your event to drive the target consciousness in the right direction. If your boogey man is terrorists, use something that terrorists use, like airplanes. Also, make sure your tragedy has never occurred before. Repeat tragedy will cause dissonance. Unprecedented events (such as collapsing skyscrapers) will stick to the mind like flies to flypaper. Don’t worry if your event would never work in reality, people are willing to accept the unbelievable. That’s why dreamers don’t realize that they’re really dreaming.

Be flexible. What can go wrong, will go wrong. So be prepared to roll with whatever comes your way. If plane number four doesn’t reach its destination, then forge some phone calls and say the passengers took out the terrorists.

Now that you’ve got your event rolling, make sure EVERYONE sees it, and is aware of it. And make damn sure that your enemy takes the blame. Nothing beats a video-tape confession. Also, you should construct follow-up events (IE: retaliation against your so-called enemy) to seal the deal.

Once all this is done, eliminate the event from the people’s consciousness, IE: remove the images and sounds from their daily lives so it will become an abstracted event in the mind. If you think this will cause too much suspicion, come up with a good reason, such as: “We shouldn’t show these images anymore because it will cause too much grief.”

You can still go back to the event and talk about it, and it’s preferable to do so to make sure that FEAR is perpetuated.

With the initial shock and clamor for security aside, the sigilized event will work at such a deep level, that your people will give up their freedoms as if they never had them in the first place. If possible, condition your people in the appropriate manner before these events will occur for better results.
